Why Women on Retirement?

You want to figure out what’s next for you.  Me too, that is exactly where I am in life.  Who are we other than a mother, a partner, an employee, a caregiver, or a volunteer?  We are finally at a point in our lives where we can see beyond the wrinkles and extra pounds. We are tired of regrets and ready to forgive ourselves for the mistakes we have made in the past. We are more confident, and less worried about failure or pleasing others.  We appreciate our family and friends more now than ever.  We are tired of the drama and are ditching toxic relationships. We have a lot to say and can now speak our minds without the fear of rejection. We feel more creative and spontaneous and are showing up for new opportunities and seeking new adventures.  We have our successes, struggles, joys, and disappointments to share with the world. We are ready to take charge of what we will do for the rest of our lives.  The mission of this blog is to bring us to the place where we wake up excited and can’t wait to spend the day being with people we love and doing the things we love to do most.

Here's what you can expect from Women on Retirement:

About Me

Welcome to Women on Retirement

My name is Nancy Webb, and I am living the life I always wanted - in a historical house one block from the beach in Galveston, Texas. I have had two careers, the first being as a Marine Biologist and the second as a Commercial Banker. I am still working and really don’t know when or if I will ever fully retire.  I spend a lot of time planning and going on adventures.   I enjoy traveling, reading, Pilates, and walking on the beach as well as spending time with my family, and friends.

I have…….

  • Played hide and seek with a 6-foot 600-pound Goliath Grouper.

  • Been Peed on by a lion.

  • Been Chased by a Giraffe.

  • Been Ambushed by a Titan Trigger Fish.

  • Been Courted by a Dolphin.

  • Swam with Humpback Whales.

  • Boxed with a Puda Deer.

  • Been Sneezed on by a Hippopotamus.
